My Educational and Professional Journey
Degree in Midwifery
The confirmation of my choice came step by step, as I truly got to know this beautiful profession—one that, even after 15 years, I continue to nurture and that, in turn, nurtures me with great passion. I graduated in Midwifery in 2009 at the University of Bologna.
Early Years Development and Infant Mental Health
In 2016, I earned a Postgraduate Diploma from the Tavistock Clinic. It was my first window into the world of psychology and child development—one that fascinated me in ways I hadn’t imagined.
Infant Massage Instructor
I first discovered infant massage as a mother, during a course I attended with my first child. It was a wonderful revelation: the moment of interaction, the touch, and the mutual relaxation truly amazed me! In 2018, I trained as an infant massage instructor with AIMI. Since then, I have believed deeply in massage as a powerful tool for parents to connect with their baby, relax, and slow down.
BLSD and PBLSD Instructor
I became an instructor with DAN Europe (Diving Alert Network) because I firmly believe that everyone should know how to respond in an emergency—whether involving adults or children. This qualification is another way I serve and support families.
IBCLC Lactation Consultant (since 2021)
IBCLC stands for International Board Certified Lactation Consultant—the highest internationally recognized qualification in breastfeeding support. Becoming IBCLC was a major milestone for me, ensuring continuous professional development and the best possible care for mothers and babies.
Master's in Pelvic Floor Health
In 2022, I completed a Master’s program in pelvic floor care and rehabilitation with Professor Lamberti and Professor Giraudo. Since then, I have continued to take advanced training courses in this essential area of women’s health.
Consulente del sonno con 1001nanna
After many years working with parents in the postpartum period and early childhood, and following several courses on infant sleep, I became a certified 1001nanna® sleep consultant in 2025. You can find me here!
1001nanna is an international institute that offers sleep consulting and training for both parents and professionals. Its approach is grounded in scientific research, with a strong focus on nurturing a secure and loving bond between parent and child. The method respects the child’s emotional and physical maturity, while also considering the needs of the entire family.
I wouldn’t be who I am today without my greatest teachers: my kids, Ettore and Michele — and without my amazing co-pilot, Gian Maria.
Life’s twists and turns, the paths we travel…
I’ve traveled the world
In 2010, I spent three months in Lucknow, India, volunteering in a small hospital and staying with a wonderful family who will always have a place in my heart.
In 2011, I spent a few weeks in the Sahrawi refugee camps, taking part in an international cooperation project aimed at training local midwives — an experience I remember with awe and deep respect.

I lived in London for 7 years
At the end of 2011, I moved to London, where I worked for seven years in major hospitals, gaining extensive experience in delivery rooms and postnatal wards.
To me, London still represents opportunity, courage, friendship… I learned that even in large hospital settings, it is possible to provide meaningful, human-centred care and support during birth.
In 2017, I became a mother for the first time, with Ettore
With Ettore’s arrival, I felt overwhelming love, but I also came face to face with the often hidden world of fears and doubts that can arise with the birth of a baby.
There were times when I felt lost. Sadly, textbook-style, one-size-fits-all advice like “this is how it’s done” didn’t help much. What made the real difference were the professionals who were willing to listen, to understand, and to gently guide me. Perhaps that was the moment when my true vision of the postpartum period began to take shape — inspired by the words of D. Daws:“Find your way with your baby.”
Motherhood changed the way I saw my profession. It gave me new lenses, and a deep desire to support families in the postpartum period — a time that is beautiful, intense, uncertain, and incredibly delicate.

In 2020, my second child Michele was born
He reminded me that the path is never the same for everyone — not even for siblings.

From 2018 I work as a private midwife in Milan, looking after mums, babies and families in different clinics and at their home.
