It’s always a good time to learn how to take care of it

Pelvic Floor

Since my return to Italy in 2018, I have focused more on the pelvic floor, especially following a specialized Master’s course with Prof. Lamberti and Prof.ssa Giraudo, and later with Prof. Bernorio.

The pelvic floor is a set of muscles and structures that are very important as they support our internal organs, allow us to control urine, faeces, and gas, and at the same time enable us to urinate and defecate physiologically. These muscles also play a very important role in sexual relations and childbirth.

I have discovered the importance of pelvic floor care at every age, and through continuous training, I learn new approaches to teach women how to take care of their pelvic floor. Whether you are a girl, a woman, a pregnant woman, a postpartum mother, or a woman in menopause, it is always a good time to get to know your pelvic floor and learn how to take care of it.

Contact me for an initial pelvic floor assessment; through a visit, I will understand the health of your muscles, their tone, any contraction, and together we will evaluate the most suitable re-education or rehabilitation path for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I have an assessment during pregnancy?

Absolutely yes, it is even recommended to prepare the pelvic floor for birth.

I had a cesarean section, do I still need a postpartum assessment?

Yes, it is still recommended because regardless of the type of birth, the pelvic floor has supported the pregnancy for months and, in the postpartum period, it carries an extra load (your baby in your arms). During the pelvic floor assessment, I also evaluate the abdominal muscle tone, so it’s another good reason to see how the muscles are working after pregnancy.

Can I bring my baby?

Yes, I am flexible on this as well. If you have the possibility and prefer to focus only on the visit, your baby’s presence is not strictly necessary. If you are not able to leave them elsewhere and bring them with you, we will find strategies together to carry out the assessment and exercises.
