Postnatal Midwifery Care
At home, with you
Once your baby is born and you’re back home (if you delivered in a hospital), I can visit you directly at home.
If you gave birth in a hospital, during your stay you probably felt reassured by the 24/7 presence of healthcare staff, but at the same time confused by the many, sometimes conflicting, pieces of advice and information you received.
With my visit, we can take the time to look together at some practical aspects:

- Your baby’s nutrition and a good start to breastfeeding
- Signs of hunger or tiredness in your baby
- The whole family’s adjustment to the new arrival
- Diaper changing, Cord hygiene
- Tips to support the mother’s physical recovery
Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a visit last?
My first home visit lasts about two hours.
Follow-up visits are about 1 hour each.
Do I need to come to your clinic for visits?
It is up to you, if you prefer the visit at home or in studio.
How soon should I contact you to schedule a visit?
If you are pregnant and thinking about the postpartum period, contact me right away to get to know each other.
My advice is to let me know as soon as your baby is born so I can respond promptly once you are discharged.
Otherwise, if you contact me later, I usually try to be there within 72 hours of the first contact.
